I am very proud of the crew we had
in Susanville, CA. The show was great, and really put us on the
map. I loved the enthusiasm of the fighters as well. For a lot of
these guys, this was the first really big show they had a chance to
fight on. I like that Eddy Millis and myself provide these
opportunities to young fighters. Also, with Ken Shamrock, Randy
Couture, Bas Rutten and Guy Metzger at the show, the younger
fighters really had an opportunity to learn from the very best.
Valor is really going to surprise
people out there. We are bringing a major league product to the
towns we will be visiting. Aside from the production, the fights
are great matches, and the future of the MMA world. |

 Eddy Millis |
First off, I am glad we had some
great fights. I knew we had quality fighters, and I knew they would
give it everything they had. There were no egos either, everyone
shook hands afterwards. We had a great family atmosphere
backstage. This is a great place to fight. It gives fighters a
chance to mingle with some of the top fighters in the world, and
showcase their talents in front of big crowds. I like the concept
of Valor Fighters fighting local fighters. It gives great exposure
to these fighters, and our Valor Fighters love the challenge.
The production was great as well.
The show had a top notch look and provided entertainment in addition
to the fights, which most companies do not do. This is one of the
things that sets us apart.

How
did you feel about the Home of the Brave show as a whole?
I thought that the crowd accepted
us. I felt that the show was well run. Overall the show was a good
show.
How
do you compare Valor's show to other shows you have fought on?
The shows were good shows. Any
fighter who gets to come on and fight for Valor Fighting is a lucky
fighter. Not only is he going to get to fight a well known fighter,
or possibly join the Valor Fighters, they receive a lot of media
coverage. They have television and radio coverage, in addition to
magazine coverage. The show brings a lot with it.
Your
thoughts on your fight with Chris Peaks?
It was a good fight. He made a
mistake instead of moving away from the punch, he turned and took a
shot to the side of the neck or throat. I do not remember giving
him a shot to the throat, but in fights, accidents happen.
What
do you bring to Valor?
I bring a different style of
fighting. I am one of the most awkward people you will ever see
fight in your life. I am like a Kit Cope without the flashiness.
He has attitude, I too bring attitude. I am willing to take risks
and do a lot of things other fighters will not do. I try to bring a
good show and excitement. Other people may be able to explain this
better than I can. I like to stand up and bang heads, and go to the
ground. I think I bring a well rounded fighter to Valor.
Where do you see Valor going in the future?
The shows will get even better!
One thing, that isn’t really bad that I see hindering Valor is
having guys not want to fight us, the Valor Fighters. A lot of us
are really well known and a lot of fighters might be intimidated,
unless they get more well known names to fight us.
Who
were you looking forward to watching fight at Home of the Brave?
I did not really get a chance to
see any other fights. I was training, and trying to stay hydrated.
I had Ken Shamrock in my corner. A lot of the times I get my pep
talks in the back. A lot of the time, you are under a lot of
pressure, and you do not know who you are fighting, and what his
attributes are. I do not want to have any pre-conceived notions
about my fight by watching other fights.
What
are you looking to do next?
Ken
Shamrock has his reality show coming up. I also will be on Randy
Couture’s show in Portland, OR. There are some other things that
have been talked about, and will go wherever I have to go. I am
looking to get my life straight, my head straight and get settled
here is Susanville. Then I can come back and be a force again in
the fight world. |

How
did you feel about the Home of the Brave show as a whole?
I thought it was a great show. It
had good production, good matchups, and overall it was a good show.
How
do you compare Valor's show to other shows you have fought on?
I definitely think that Valor is a
rising star among MMA shows.
Your
thoughts on your fight with Mike Lucero?
I thought that it made for an
exciting matchup. Mike Lucero is a really tough guy. He took some
serious shots and kept coming. He obviously fell victim to what all
of my opponents fall victim to which is the finish.
What
do you bring to Valor?
For those who need more work than
just Kit Cope; pizzazz, style, excitement, fun, entertainment, need
I go on!
What
are you looking to do next?
I
believe my next scheduled fight is for the season finale of the
Ultimate Fighter 2. And I’ll jump at the opportunity for any more
Valor fights! |

How
did you feel about the Home of the Brave show as a whole?
At one point I felt overwhelmed, I mean some of my favorite
fighters were there, like Ken Shamrock, Bas Rutten, Guy Metzger,
Randy Couture, Dean Lister, and on and on. But in the end seeing
all those people made me realize that I had to take care of business
and it really motivated me to do my best.
How do you compare Valor's show to other
shows you have been to or fought on?
This one was a great production, I think Valor Fighting and Ken
Shamrock gave the fans exactly what they asked for. People showed
love. I met some people 200 miles away at a gas station who knew
about the show, and that made me even more proud to represent the
Valor Fighting and Ken Shamrock team.
Your thoughts on your fight, in which you
were victorious?
I respect any man who represents his fighting style in the ring. But
this was my turn to showcase my talent for my heroes along ringside,
the fight fans and my family to whom I promised a victory.
What do you bring to Valor?
I want to be known as a killer, a beast, and a very dangerous man
in the ring. I have channeled anger but I am still am very young at
my practice. I feel that the more fights I have, the more I go back
to the drawing board, the better I will get. Any man that steps in
that ring, I will promise a good fight, win or lose, and trust me
they will not want a rematch........ I will bring the business!
Where do you see Valor going in the future?
Valor has all the connections to put together a great production,
particularly a PPV deal. And, you know I'm going to be on that fight
card! Valor has a great arsenal of up and coming fighters like
myself, as well as recognized fighters like Vernon White and Kimo.
Valor also represents K1's Mighty Mo who is probably one the best
Heavyweight fighters today. As an insider I would tell fight fans
to bet on Valor, and watch out! We are coming and I’m representing
Valor Fighting to the fullest.
Who were you looking forward to watching
fight at HOTB?
Well I'm a fight junkie. I mean I'll watch two fish fight, but Kit
Cope’s fight was the one I couldn't wait to see. He's a very
skilled Maui Thai fighter who is exciting to watch anyway, but I was
really anxious to see if he would incorporate anything Dean Lister
showed him on the ground.
What are you looking to do next?
I just want to fight. I have an itch that only gets scratched when I
fight. I want to fracture someone's face, choke them out, tear some
ACL's, you know just get in the ring and let it all go. Size doesn't
matter. The way I look at it nobody is above an old fashion
passionate ass whooping! |

Mavrick Harvey Interview |

How
did you feel about the Home of the Brave show as a whole?
It was great, it was an honor to
be out there with Ken Shamrock. It is great to see when athletes
have made it to a certain level, and they bring what made them back
to their hometown. It was a great hometown feeling, everybody was
really nice.
How
do you compare Valor's show to other shows you have fought on?
The bottom line is that for an MMA
show, aside from K-1, because of the level of income they have,
Valor is the best show, pound for pound that there is, period. In
terms of taking care of the fighters, making sure the fans have the
right seats, and not just the fans in the front row or the VIP’s,
but all fans in attendance.
What
do you bring to Valor?
I bring my own style to Valor. I
am a street fighter and everyone knows it. I am to the people, with
the people, and for the people, street fighter for life.
Where do you see Valor going in the future?
If Valor continues it’s work ethic
the way it has been, if they continue producing shows the way they
have been, I see them going far. I can see them becoming a
lucrative company in the MMA world.
